Women in EU Politics: Part I

Women in EU Politics: Part I

Women do not like politics.

Men are not interested in equality in governments.

EU politics has reached equality because they often discuss the representation of women.

How true are these stereotypes?

Astute Radio’s Miette Dechelle started a conversation about women in EU politics to find out.  Miette spoke with Thomas Fillis who is the Regional Manager for Europe and Asia at the Women in Parliaments Global Forum (WIP).

Listen to Thomas as he shares the facts, figures and fiction about women in EU politics, as well as why he thinks a lack of representation puts democracy at risk.

What do you think about women in politics?  What do you think are the barriers to getting more women in politics?
